Klaus is a bitter bitter man these days, he has lost everything and everyone he has ever cared for by dealing with queen mab to keep things "as they are right now in this moment". German archeologists under the brilliant Dr Alexander Kiegle managed to breech the limit to the spell by employing modern tools and extracted the frozen magus who to their immense horror and surprise re-animated within hours.

Klaus dreams of a world where todays technology and the older magic can be combined, but where there are far less mundanes with their meddlesome beliefs to hide from. After all he has seen how little it helped the order to hide. He is done hiding, in fact he envisions a greater germanic empire with the New Hermetic Order at it's head, possibly as advisors behind the figurehead. Adolf, he thinks, will not last long in the position. If he had been revived in England that is where his loyalties would have been, but Germany suits him fine especialy with them being somewhat easy to manipulate into war with their long-term enemies.

Unlike his proteges Klaus is excempt from Mab's spell draining them. In fact Klaus can call on the winds of winter with impunity, a sort of gift given by the faerie queen for his dedication and politeness.
